I recently bought a new laptop that came without an operating system, so I'm trying to create a bootable USB for Windows 11 using Linux on my old laptop. I have the official Windows 11 ISO file, but I'm running into issues. When I try using Fedora Media Writer, I get an error saying, 'did not receive a reply.' I also tried using KDE ISO Image Writer, but it gave me an error stating, 'The last block could fully not be written.' I've tried this on two different USB drives. Just to note, I'm running Arch Linux with KDE Plasma. Any help would be appreciated!

To make a bootable USB, you usually need a working OS. Are you using a computer that already has one? If you have access to Windows, you could try Win32 Disk Imager for creating the bootable USB. But if you want to stick with Linux, I recommend looking into Ventoy. It simplifies the process a lot by letting you just place the ISO on the USB without worrying about formatting it manually.
But isn’t that just for Windows?
