Why Does My iPad Say I’m Out of Storage with 2TB of iCloud Available?

I'm having trouble with my iPad because it says I'm out of storage and I can't access my drawing app. I checked and I have 2TB of iCloud storage. However, if I delete stuff from my iPad to free up space, it will also delete it from my family's devices since we're all sharing an Apple account. I'm really confused about how to manage my storage effectively. Does anyone have any advice? I'm using an iPad 5th generation with iOS 14.4.2.

It sounds like you’re mixing up local storage and iCloud storage. Even though you have 2TB of space on iCloud, your iPad's local storage could be full. If you're sharing an Apple account, any local deletions may affect other devices. Try deleting apps or large files, like videos, just from your iPad to free up space without impacting others.

Exactly! It's important to manage local storage separately. Check your storage settings to see what's using up space.

I'm a bit puzzled why deleting something on your iPad would affect your family members’ phones unless you're all using the same Apple ID. You might want to look into that. Anyway, local storage is indeed different from iCloud. You can have space on iCloud but still be limited on your device.
