I'm looking for assistance with de-Googling my life. Specifically, I want to create my own offline server to host my data and utilize AI without relying on cloud services, especially from Google. I currently use Google Drive for my writing and I'm trying to figure out how to migrate my workflow from that. Please share any advice or connections you might have, especially if you're familiar with this process!

Have you explored NAS solutions? They can be great for home use and help you store your data without relying on the cloud.

If you're looking for someone to help, I can assist you with setting up a server for personal use. However, expect that it might involve some costs for hardware and installation.

It really depends on your specific needs. What are you trying to do exactly with the server? Understanding your use case will help when you talk to someone about building your setup.

What’s your budget for this? That'll definitely influence what kind of setup you can go for. I think a budget around $2,000 to $3,000 could get you a solid starting point!

You mentioned you're a writer and currently using a MacBook. If you want to keep things personal, consider switching to a dedicated PC with more processing power. This could simplify things when you transition away from Google.
