I recently got an RX 9070 XT, which requires three 8 PIN PCIe connectors. However, my PSU only has one 12 pin connector that daisy chains into two 8 PIN connectors. I'm wondering if I can run the card with just the two 8 PINs or if that could damage the card or just lower its performance. I found another PCIe cable from an old PSU, but it doesn't fit my new PSU, which makes me think that PSU cables aren't universal and I might not be able to buy a compatible one separately.

If you don’t connect all three connectors, you're likely going to run into issues right at startup. You might see a message telling you to connect all required cables before you can proceed. The graphics card likely won’t boot properly without all three connections being used.

Wait, you really get a message to connect all three? Does it show that on the monitor or just no signal?
