Hey everyone! I'm a gamer looking to enhance my experience with high FPS games like Elden Ring and the new Battlefield 6. I'm upgrading my system gradually and would appreciate your suggestions on what to tackle first. Here are my current specs: AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7800 XT, 16GB of RAM, B650 Aorus Elite AX motherboard, and a 1 TB Team Group M.2 Drive. Thanks for your help!

Your motherboard has plenty of slots for upgrades! I'd suggest starting with the RAM first, then think about the GPU. If storage is a concern, maybe planning to upgrade that next makes sense. Just remember that your CPU (the Ryzen 5 7600) might not bottleneck even a higher-tier GPU, so that's a plus!
Have you thought about how much budget you have for upgrades? If you're aiming for 1440p, finding the right balance is key. Also, how many FPS are you looking for?
You should definitely consider upgrading your RAM first. 16GB can be limiting for modern games, especially with DDR5 memory. Look for a 32GB kit (2x16GB) of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory. Also, if you're able to, make sure to enable EXPO after installation for the best performance!
Totally agree! Just make sure your current RAM can work with the new sticks; if not, it might be better to get an entirely new kit.
After upgrading your RAM, a GPU upgrade could be beneficial as well. Although your RX 7800 XT is solid, something like the 9070 XT would provide a nice boost. Just keep in mind that upgrading your GPU can be pricey, so weigh your options carefully.

I've got around $1K to spend right now, and yes, I prefer 1440p!
