Hey everyone! I could really use some advice on a recent issue I've encountered with my PC setup. A few years ago, I bought a prebuilt system with limited knowledge about PCs, and since then, I've upgraded nearly everything, which leads me to seek help here rather than in a prebuild forum.
The latest upgrade was the CPU: I installed a Ryzen 9 5900XT on my AS Rock B450M/ac motherboard, which I understood to be compatible. However, my PC shuts down instantly whenever I try to boot up any game—no blue screen, just a complete power down. I've come across a lot of mixed reviews about the Ryzen 9 and various motherboards, including B550s and X570s, so I'm looking for solid recommendations on a motherboard that will actually work with this processor and my current components. You can check my full build on PC Part Picker [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JHBX4p). I'm considering the Gigabyte Eagle, but I'm unsure whom to trust since my current B450 setup isn't performing well. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried flashing the BIOS? Sometimes that can resolve compatibility issues with newer CPUs on older motherboards. Just a thought!
This sounds like a power supply problem. It could be that your PSU is failing, or there might be an issue with your GPU or storage drive. I’d normally leave the motherboard as the last suspect unless I had a solid reason to think it was the culprit. You could check your CPU for any bent pins or thermal paste on the socket, but if everything looks good there, I'd keep looking into other components.
My PSU is actually 1000W, which should be sufficient. The repair shop stress-tested the CPU with no issues, and then they benchmarked my Radeon 6950XT and it shut down too. They even tried another GPU and got the same result, which made them suspect the motherboard.
Did you check the CPU socket? I didn't see any mention of it, but sometimes the pins can look fine and still cause issues.

I should have mentioned that earlier, but yes, I did flash the BIOS.
