Why is my new PC so sluggish?

I just built a new PC and it's running really slowly. I realized I installed AMD Adrenaline drivers even though I have an Nvidia 5080, so I used DDU to uninstall those. I ran some benchmarks and played games like COD, but the FPS is still very low. My setup includes an Nvidia 5080 OC SFF, a Gigabyte B850M motherboard, a 7800X3D CPU, and Klevv 32GB of RAM. I've connected my display through the GPU and disabled the integrated graphics in the BIOS. I've also updated all drivers and the motherboard firmware, but I'm really frustrated and not sure what's wrong. What could I be missing?

Have you checked if the RAM is configured properly in the BIOS? Ensuring XMP is enabled can be crucial for performance. Also, a fresh OS install combined with a BIOS reset could help eliminate other potential software issues.

You mentioned that the integrated GPU is disabled in the BIOS; did you check if the Nvidia GPU is actually running at the right PCIe slot speed? Sometimes it defaults to a lower speed which can bottleneck performance.

What benchmark tool did you use? I'm curious because if you ran FurMark and are getting only 20 FPS in COD, that seems off. That’s not just slow; that’s a problem! Let us know the benchmark scores for more context.

It sounds like you might need to reinstall the Nvidia drivers. Sometimes, having AMD drivers installed can mess things up. Also, check that your Windows is fully updated. This might sort out some compatibility issues.

Make sure all power connections from the PSU to your motherboard and GPU are secure. You might also want to run CrystalDisk to check the health of your SSD. If you're not already, look for guides on optimizing Windows for performance and adjusting settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. As a test, try lowering the graphics settings to minimum to see if that improves the frame rates.
