Hey folks! I'm stuck between setting up a full Linux environment and just using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) alongside my Windows. What do you all recommend based on your experiences? What are the best use cases for each option? Thanks a lot!

If you don’t have strong Linux needs and you rely on Windows a lot, definitely consider WSL. It simplifies things significantly and lets you get stuff done without the dual boot hassle. But for more advanced or specific uses, you might eventually want to switch to a full Linux distro like Mint or Ubuntu.
Totally agree! Starting with WSL gives you a chance to see if it fits your needs without committing fully to dual-booting.
WSL is very usable! It might not be perfect and has some quirks, but overall it’s less hassle compared to a dual boot setup. If you need to do most of your work on Windows but want Linux tools available, it's a solid choice.
What kind of software are you working on? This might influence whether you need full Linux or if WSL will suffice. For many development tasks, WSL has been more than enough!
If you already have Windows, I’d suggest giving WSL a try first. Setting it up is super easy, just a single command really. If you find it's not meeting your needs, then consider dual-booting later on.
Generally, unless WSL's limitations are a dealbreaker for your projects, it's much more convenient and saves time compared to dual-booting. It's designed to be quick and easy to use!

That makes sense! I’m mainly coding, but what if I run into limitations? Maybe I'll start with WSL first and then switch if I need more power.
