How can I clean the RAM socket on my PC?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to install RAM into my PC, but when I put it in the third socket, the system keeps rebooting without displaying anything. I believe both the RAM and the socket are fine, but I'm suspecting the socket might be dirty. I don't have compressed air at home, so I'm looking for suggestions on how to clean the RAM sockets without it. Also, I wanted to mention that I had the PC working perfectly before, but after putting the components back together, the issues started. Is there any way to know if the socket is damaged? Thanks for your help!

If you’re using DDR5 RAM, it might need occasional retraining, but that shouldn’t cause constant reboots. A quick tip: take a look with your phone camera at an angle and see if anything seems off in the socket. Just remember, don't use anything that's not ESD safe like a regular vacuum to clean it. Furthermore, ensure you’re installing either 1, 2, or 4 RAM sticks; three might not work correctly. Sharing your motherboard model could help us give better advice too!

Thanks for the advice! Here’s a photo of the board - do you think it looks okay? I’m just worried about getting the RAM configuration right, haha!

Also, try different combinations with the RAM sticks. Sometimes it takes a bit of finding the right setup! Good luck!
