I just built a new PC and I'm switching from an AMD graphics card to an NVIDIA one. My plan is to use the AMD cleanup utility, shut down my system, install the NVIDIA card, and then download the NVIDIA application and drivers. I'd really like to avoid using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) if possible since the PC has only had the 9070 XT in it. By the way, I've also disabled Windows auto updates. I'm looking for the best advice on how to go about this without too much hassle. Thanks!

While I know you want to avoid it, using DDU is really the safest way to switch GPUs without running into issues later. Honestly, it's straightforward—about half an hour if you follow a tutorial. If you’d rather not do that, a clean Windows install could work, but you might end up spending a lot of time re-downloading everything. Just be aware there’s a bit of hassle either way.
I totally get not wanting to reinstall everything! If you do decide to go that route, would you swap out the GPU first and then set up Windows fresh?
