Hey folks! I'm having a bit of a noise problem with my PC. Every time I boot it up, the fans on my GTX 1650 GPU spin at full speed for about 1-2 seconds before settling down. It's really loud and can be quite annoying. Is this something that's normal during the POST test, or is there a way to disable this loud fan boost either in the BIOS or through some software settings? Here are my specs for reference:
- GPU: GTX 1650
- Motherboard: ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0
- OS: Windows
Thanks for any help!

It happens because the fans get full voltage before the control circuit starts working. Once the system is booted up, they switch to PWM control, which regulates their speed. Sadly, there's no setting to disable that initial blast of speed, but it's just a test to make sure your fans are functioning properly.
What you're experiencing is actually pretty normal for most GPUs. Those fans ramp up to full speed briefly as a part of their startup routine to ensure that they're working properly. Unfortunately, there's usually no straightforward way to disable this feature. Some pumps and fans are just louder than others, though. You might want to check if a quieter fan model is available for your GPU if it really bothers you.
