I'm planning to build a PC on a tight budget, and I've got a list of components suggested by a friend. I'm not sure if they're any good, so I could really use some help choosing better parts. Honestly, I wouldn't go for that build. It features some outdated components that might not perform well anymore. Since you're using a white mATX case, make sure the parts you choose fit well and give you decent performance for gaming or other tasks. You might want to consider newer options that provide better value for your budget.
What do you think about upgrading the motherboard or getting a different GPU? I’ve heard some good things about the newer models that aren't too pricey.
