I'm debating between two GPUs priced in AUD: the 9070 for $950 and the 5070 for $880. I'm looking for the option that provides the best value for my money, considering performance and features. Any thoughts?

I'd go with the 9070. A recent review suggested it outperforms the 5070 in most benchmarks. Plus, it has a decent amount of VRAM at 16GB, which could be big for future-proofing your setup.
Actually, if you're targeting high picture quality, the 5070 may surprise you. Use DLSS on Balanced mode and FSR on Quality, and it can outperform the 9070, especially at a solid frame rate of around 80 FPS or more. But it seems the review might not have included this in their comparison.
Prices aside, I'd lean towards the 9070. It's about 10% better in rasterized performance on average, plus those 4 extra GB of VRAM could come in handy.
I'm team 5070 all the way. It has superior features like MFG and DLSS that really make it shine in gaming. Also, Nvidia's driver support is generally more reliable, while AMD can sometimes lead to issues.
Don’t forget the importance of VRAM! Just make sure whatever you choose has more than 8GB if you plan on playing at higher settings.
Interesting point, but I think the 9070 has a slight edge overall for raw performance and VRAM. Just keep in mind power efficiency might be better than what some say.
