I'm considering buying an 8TB Seagate Skyhawk hard drive for €70, but I know it's designed for surveillance and isn't as quick as gaming hard drives. It typically sells for around €200 new. I already have a 500GB SSD and I'm not too worried about loading speeds, but I'm looking for extra storage. Should I go for this option?

Honestly, hard drives aren't the best choice for gaming, no matter the price. If you can, stick with an SSD for your gaming needs.
Unless you're only planning to install older games, it probably isn't worth the buy. SSDs make a big difference in performance.
I wouldn't recommend it. SSDs are the way to go, trust me on this one!
Making sure your games load textures properly is crucial these days. Using an HDD can lead to stutters if it can't keep up. I'd only use a HDD for back catalog games.

Exactly! It's better to keep that for storage of older titles or media files.
