Hey everyone! I'm in the laptop and desktop repair business, and I've got a few laptops from an e-waste facility that are flagged for being out of compliance, showing a DeviceFreeze-64 message. I have admin access to these devices, but the BIOS indicates anti-theft is disabled and grayed out. I'm really hoping to figure out how to remove this lock. The help desk number I tried calling wasn't much help either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like those laptops are registered with some form of autopilot. You might need to identify which company owns them and reach out directly to get them removed from their system. It's a bit of a hassle but can be the only way to get it resolved.

Have you tried pulling the CMOS battery? Some users have had luck with that, along with running a secure erase on the drives. Just keep in mind that even if you reimage the laptop, it may lock again once it connects to the internet.
