Will a 5070 handle 1440p at ultra settings?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700x3d and I'm wondering if a 5070 graphics card is enough to run games at 1440p on ultra settings, without ray tracing. I've got 64GB of DDR4 RAM and an 850W power supply with a Corsair AIO. I'm also curious about the card's overall performance—would it hold up well in general? If it's not a great match with my current setup, I might consider upgrading my CPU later.

In my case, I have a 5070 and I’ve been able to run 4K just fine as long as I do a bit of upscaling and minor tweaks. 1440p should be a breeze for you!

It's a solid card for 1440p. Of course, using DLSS will help a lot, and while a few unoptimized games might struggle, that’s not really on the card. You’d mostly be good to go!

Absolutely, the 5070 should do just fine for 1440p Ultra in most modern games. While there’s the 5070ti for better performance, the 5070 itself is more than capable overall.

Yes, you're likely to have a good experience. I run at 1440p almost max settings with my 3070ti by turning off ray tracing and lowering shadows. You’ll get great results with max settings and no ray tracing in most games.

Yeah, it's enough for sure! But if you can stretch your budget a bit, consider getting the RX 9070 instead—it might give you a bit more longevity.
