My PC Won’t Start After Updating Drivers, Is It Broken?

I recently tried updating some drivers on my PC, and now it won't power on at all—it doesn't light up or show any signs of life. I'm starting to worry that it might be dead. My father built it for me, but he's been unresponsive to my messages. I can provide photos if that helps with diagnosing the issue.

Have you checked if the power supply is turned off? Sometimes toggling the switch on the back can reset the power to the motherboard. It's worth a shot since driver updates shouldn't cause a no power issue in the first place.

Is that the on/off switch near the power cable? I wasn't sure if there was a specific button for it.

To reset power to the motherboard, just flip the switch at the back of the power supply off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

And just for clarification, you said your father built the PC, right? Not you—got it!

If you haven't tried it yet, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds. That can sometimes help reset things if there's a minor glitch.
