I'm currently dual-booting Linux and Windows, but my 256GB SSD is almost full (only 17GB left). I'm considering getting a new SSD, maybe a 1TB one, to dedicate one SSD for Windows and the other for Linux. I'm worried about my internal storage since running both systems at once can cause crashes due to insufficient space. Alternatively, I'm also thinking about using Google Cloud for storage, although I find the monthly subscription a bit pricey. Is it better to invest in another SSD for stability and storage, or should I go for the cloud option?

Honestly, if you want stability and speed, an internal SSD is the way to go. Cloud storage is nice for backups but can be slow for daily use. Plus, transferring a lot of data will cost you long-term. Stick to upgrading your SSD.
While you're at it, consider upgrading your RAM too. Going from 8GB to 16GB can really improve performance, especially if you're working with VMs and resource-heavy applications. You can find good deals for used parts on websites like Jawa if you're looking to save some cash.
I suggest getting a 2TB SSD for around $130. You can create a partition to split it up so you have 1TB for Windows and 1TB for Linux. This way, you get plenty of space and it should reduce the crashes you’re experiencing from running out of disk space.
