How to Tackle Overwhelming Tech Terminology?

I've been diving into technology and I'm really struggling with all the terminology involved. It started with a simple Google search about proxies, and I ended up wandering through a maze of topics like Linux, Linux distributions, Debian, package managers, and much more. Every term I come across leads to even more jargon that I'm expected to know. How does anyone begin to understand all of this?

You definitely don’t need to know everything right away! Just focus on learning what's necessary for the task at hand. All that other stuff? You can always pick it up later as needed.

Think of it like driving a car: you learn the basics first. Sure, you might need to know some details like gas types and how to handle rainy weather, but you don’t need to master everything right away.

To get started, I recommend checking out PCEP for a structured introduction to Python—it’s perfect for beginners. And for Linux, the Linux Essentials material is super helpful for foundational knowledge.

Honestly, the key is to understand that you won't know it all. Even experienced programmers don't know every term; they just use what they need. A good first step is to accept that there’s a lot you don't know.

Don't overwhelm yourself trying to learn everything at once. Education typically breaks down topics into manageable parts over time. Just focus on one subject at a time; no one expects you to master it all!
