Why Does My BIOS Show Windows on a Different Disk?

I recently installed Windows 11 on my SN850 500GB SSD, and when I boot my PC, it's recognized as Disk C with the Windows logo. However, in the BIOS boot manager, it shows Windows is located on my other disk, the 990 Pro 1TB, which only has games on it. I'm confused about why this is happening and what it means for my system. Can anyone help me understand?

What a twist! Check out your partition layout in Windows. It could clear up this mystery. But, if you're not seeing any major issues, maybe it's just a BIOS quirk. If you’re thinking of formatting the 990 Pro, backup first and see if it resolves this boot confusion!

You might want to check your disk management in Windows. It sounds like your boot partition could have ended up on the 990 Pro instead of your SN850. It's usually not a big deal unless you plan to format or remove the 990 Pro. Just make sure you have backups of your important data before changing anything!

That's pretty odd! Are you sure the boot partition is actually on the 990 Pro? It could be that Windows just records the device differently in the BIOS. To be safe, if you’re planning to format the 990 Pro anyway, reinstalling your games might help clear things up. Just keep an eye on where your boot files are!
