I've been experiencing a frustrating issue with my laptop where it's only pulling in 9 Mbps internet speed, regardless of whether I'm connected via Ethernet or WiFi. This started about two months ago. For comparison, my phone is getting a solid 60 Mbps. I've already tried updating all the drivers, and everything is up to date. Any advice on how to troubleshoot this?

You might want to check your network card's configuration. It could be set to some base speed instead of the recommended settings. Make sure it's set to automatic or at least 100 Mbps.
What kind of router do you have? If you share it with someone, could they have set a bandwidth limit specifically for your laptop?
Have you tried disconnecting from WiFi when you're plugged into Ethernet? Sometimes that can create conflicts. Also, if you use your phone as a hotspot, how's the speed then?
Using my phone as a hotspot is much faster, pretty much back to the speed I had three months ago. I was still connected to WiFi even when I plugged in the Ethernet, though.

No bandwidth limits set on my laptop, and I live alone. This issue started right after I came back from a week-long vacation.
