Struggling with WiFi Driver Installation on an Older Mac

I'm new to Linux and currently using Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS. I'm having trouble installing the Broadcom WiFi drivers on my 2011/2012 Macbook Pro. Every time I try to install the drivers, I get an error message saying, "Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?" Any tips on how to resolve this?

I just faced the same issue yesterday! I suggest you try searching for solutions on Google; there are several helpful threads on Ubuntu forums. I ended up tethering my phone for internet access, which allowed me to execute the required steps to fix the issue. Good luck!

I’ve encountered similar troubles before. Don’t forget to check your internet connection and make sure your system is up to date. Running `apt-get update` could also help resolve the issue.

Consider using a USB WiFi adapter. They’re typically the easiest solution for connectivity issues like yours. It might be a straightforward fix!
