Looking for CPU Upgrade Advice for Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my gaming setup, and I need some advice. Currently, my build consists of an i9 10900KF CPU, an RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB of Kingston Fury RAM at 3200MHz, an ASUS Prime B560 Plus motherboard, a 2TB M.2 SSD, a 240mm AIO cooler, and an 850W power supply all housed in a Silentium PC case. I primarily play Fortnite and I'm considering upgrading to an Intel i7 14700KF. However, I'm not too familiar with AMD CPUs, and I've seen user benchmarks showing them as slower, even the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. What would you recommend for the CPU, motherboard, and RAM? Also, how much could I expect to sell my current CPU, RAM, and motherboard for?

If you're looking to upgrade, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 9800X3D are great options. They offer excellent performance, especially for gaming! Pair it with a B850 motherboard and consider getting CL30 6000MHz RAM in 32GB or even 64GB for the best experience. You might find significant performance gains with this setup!

Aren't the 1% lows better on the i7? I watched a comparison and it looks like the i7 performs well in those areas.

Is there a big difference between CL36 and CL30? I'm curious if it affects overall performance.

I agree with everyone here; steer clear of UserBenchmark. They don’t provide the full story! Look at other benchmarks, including real-world gaming performance. You'll get a better sense of what to go with.

Seriously, avoid UserBenchmark at all costs! Their ratings can be really misleading, especially if you're trying to make a decision based on that. Check out more reliable sources or benchmarks for a clearer picture.
