I've been freelancing and working on small side projects for a while, and I've noticed that while writing code is relatively straightforward, consistently attracting clients or users is quite challenging. Initially, I was reaching out to leads manually, keeping track of everything in spreadsheets. This method worked for some time but became too time-consuming. Recently, I started automating parts of my outreach process, and it has significantly improved how I manage client work. I'm curious to hear how others handle this aspect of their workflow. Do you automate any part of your client or user outreach, or do you prefer to keep the entire process personal and hands-on? I totally understand the burnout from manual outreach! I’ve split my process into three parts. I automate discovery and filtering with RSS feeds and scrapers for relevant discussions.
