Hey everyone! I'm diving into my first PC build and I've gathered all my components, ready to purchase them next week. I've done a lot of reading, but it got pretty overwhelming, so I've settled on this list:
- CPU: R7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz, 8 core
- CPU Cooler: MSI Mag Liquid Cooler A13, 360mm
- GPU: RTX 5070Ti TUF OC
- Motherboard: B850F Gaming WIFI ROG Strix
- PSU: MSI MAG 850W 80Plus Gold
- RAM: 2x16GB Fury Beast DDR5 6000MHz CL30
- Case: Super Tank 9600TB Balam Rush
- SSD: 1TB WD Black SN850X 6300/7300 + a second 1TB M.2 S70 Blade
I've got some leftover peripherals from an old laptop, and the total for the remaining parts comes to around $2,200 USD.
I want to know if this build looks solid and if there are any potential bottlenecks. I'm planning to upgrade in about a year, possibly adding more RAM and going for an R7 9800X3D, since I've heard that's a great gaming option.
Right now, my budget is a bit higher than I planned, so any tips on finding similar quality components at a lower cost would be super helpful. My main focus is gaming, aiming for 1440p at 60+ fps, and I'd love to tackle some ray tracing too. Games I'm looking to play include Helldivers II, Elden Ring, Alan Wake 2, and RDR2. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Your build looks great overall! I’d suggest considering an air cooler instead of the AIO, especially because the 7800X3D doesn’t need such an intense setup. It’ll save you some cash and still keep things cool without issues.

Thanks! I’ll look into some air cooler options. I’m glad to get this feedback.
