I just bought a used RTX 3080 ROG, and it's making a horrible hissing noise. I'm sure it's not from the fans because I've checked them, and the sound seems to be coming from inside the card itself. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this? Also, can mined graphics cards produce this kind of noise? I'm really concerned about it and would like to know how serious the situation could be.

I had a similar issue, and it was coil whine too. Unfortunately, there isn't really a fix for it, just how some GPUs are made. If it becomes unbearable, you can always try reseating the GPU or getting a different case to see if it helps dampen the noise.
That sound is likely coil whine, which is pretty common in graphics cards, especially during high-performance tasks. It's normal, but I get why it can be annoying. If you don’t use headphones, it can really stand out while gaming. Just make sure it’s not something more serious by keeping an eye on your temps and performance; if those are fine, you’re probably okay!
