Why Does My PC Crash When Playing BF6?

I've been experiencing some frustrating issues with my PC crashing while playing Battlefield 6 (BF6). I've had the machine for about four years; it was an old gaming PC rebuilt by a friend before I received it. Initially, I faced crashes while playing Borderlands 3, but I managed to fix that by removing a faulty RAM stick. Long story short, despite upgrading my CPU and GPU recently, my PC is now crashing consistently every 10-15 minutes into playing BF6. Other games don't seem to cause this problem, and I've tried various solutions, including BIOS tweaks and reinstalling Windows, but nothing has worked so far. I'm pretty much at my wits' end and I'm open to any suggestions you might have to prevent these crashes.

I'm really curious about your SSD health. Since you mentioned your motherboard and PSU are the last parts you haven’t swapped, an unhealthy SSD could still be causing these crashes. Use a tool like CrystalDiskInfo to assess its status. If there are issues, that could be a major red flag.

Just a tip – you've checked a lot of software issues, but also think about the physical components. Since you've done a fresh Windows install, if you continue to crash, it might actually be time to consider a motherboard upgrade. They can start to fail silently after years, even if they seem like they’re working fine.

There could be issues with Javelin Anti-Cheat, as I've seen similar crashes reported. Sometimes it messes with the power management settings on GPUs. Try turning off Link State Power Management in your power options; it’s worth a shot!

You're definitely not alone in this! Many players are reporting crashing issues specifically with BF6. It could be a combination of game optimization problems along with some potential hardware conflicts. You might want to check if your CPU temps or any of your components are underperforming when you run the game.

Have you tried looking at the dump files for the BSODs? If you can boot into Windows, check C:WindowsMinidump for any logs after a crash. These files can provide a lot of insight into what's going wrong, and once you have them, uploading them to a file-sharing site could show others what might be causing the crashes.
