I've got a chance to pick between an RTX 3060 with 12GB of VRAM and an RX 6600 with 8GB, both at about the same price. I'm leaning towards the AMD software, but I'm aware that the 3060 has more VRAM. If you had to choose between these two options, which one would you go for and why?

Having an RX 6650XT, I can say I passed on the 6600 since it felt underpowered. If you can snag a 12GB 3060 for the same price as the 6600, that's a steal! It's all about getting the best performance for your buck.
If you're serious about playing new titles, that 12GB VRAM is going to be crucial. Even with that, at times it's just barely enough, so definitely skip the 6600; 8GB just won't cut it anymore.
I'd definitely go with the 3060. It's generally faster, and for anyone looking to play modern AAA games, that extra 12GB of VRAM and DLSS support will be really beneficial.
As a fan of AMD, it's tough to admit, but the 3060 is the clear standout. Better VRAM, better performance, and solid software support for many games.
Honestly, the 3060 is better in pretty much every aspect. More features, more VRAM, and overall better performance, so I'd go for that one.
