What upgrades should I make to my gaming PC?

I've had my gaming PC for a few years now, and while it was budget-friendly at the time, it's really struggling to keep up with the latest games. I can barely run new titles even on the lowest settings, clocking in at around 25 fps. I've saved up some money for upgrades but I'm not very knowledgeable about PC parts. Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor
- GPU: Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 2TB SSD
- Monitor: 75Hz screen

Given this setup, I think my graphics card upgrade is going to be the most critical step. Would upgrading my CPU also be necessary? Any advice would be super helpful!

You definitely need a new graphics card to keep up with today’s games. I’d suggest something with 12 or 16GB of VRAM. The 5700X3D is a solid choice for a CPU upgrade, but it’s also important to check that your motherboard supports it. Just remember that prices for components can vary quite a bit right now, so plan your budget accordingly!

Yeah, definitely check your bios updates too if you go for the 5700X3D. That can improve compatibility and performance!

I’d prioritize upgrading your graphics card first. The GTX 1060 is getting dated, and you’ll see the most noticeable improvements with a card that has at least 12GB of VRAM. Your 16GB RAM is okay for now, but consider upgrading it later since more is becoming necessary for newer games. The Ryzen 5 3600 is still decent, though it might bottleneck a newer GPU slightly. If you can, try looking for an RX 6600 or RTX 3060 – they offer great performance without breaking the bank. Just keep an eye on your power supply too!
