Is This Gaming PC Build Overkill? What Monitor Should I Choose?

I'm in the process of building my first gaming PC and want it to be an absolute powerhouse. I'm aiming for high frame rates for any game I play while also ensuring great picture quality. I've laid out my specs, but I'm not entirely sure all the components will work seamlessly together. Here are my specs:

- **Case**: CORSAIR iCUE 5000T LX RGB MID TOWER GAMING CASE - WHITE
- **Processor**: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16 Core CPU
- **Motherboard**: GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7
- **Memory**: 96GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 5200MHz (2 x 48GB)
- **Graphics Card**: 32GB GIGABYTE GEFORCE RTX 5090 WINDFORCE OC
- **Storage**: 2TB SAMSUNG 9100 PRO M.2 (x2)
- **Power Supply**: CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES ATX 3.1
- **Cooling**: CORSAIR ICUE LINK TITAN 360 RX LCD RGB CPU COOLER

For the monitor, I'm torn between getting a 600/500hz monitor or a 4K 240hz monitor (like the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8). I want to make sure my RTX 5090 isn't underutilized, but I'm really not sure if a 1440p or 1080p monitor is the way to go. What do you think?

I'd definitely recommend going with a 4K 240hz monitor for your RTX 5090. It's powerful enough to take full advantage of those specs! Also, just a tip: consider upgrading your PSU to around 1200-1300 watts instead of just 1000w for a build this high-end. Everything else looks solid!

Good call on the PSU! And for the RAM, I'd suggest bumping it up to 6000MHz instead of 5200MHz for better performance.

Thanks for the advice on the PSU! I'll look into that!
