I'm in the process of setting up my new PC and I'm a bit confused about the CPU power connectors. I'm using an i9-12900k processor along with a TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 motherboard. I've got both an 8-pin and a 4-pin CPU power cable to plug in. The issue I'm facing is whether I should connect the fully wired side or the side that has a missing pin spliced into another pin. The missing pin is on the PSU end. Can anyone clarify which side I should be using?

You really can't go wrong here! Just make sure to plug in all the 8-pin connectors using unique cables. They’re designed to fit correctly, so you should be all set!

I checked and it seems like the connector with the missing pin actually fits into the motherboard better. The shape matches, which was confusing me at first.
