I'm thinking about upgrading my gaming rig, which currently includes an Intel Core i7 8700k processor and a Zotac GTX 1080 graphics card. I've also got 16GB of DDR4 RAM (though I know I need to switch to dual channel), and a Corsair 850w power supply. I'm looking at a budget of around £700 and have been considering a Ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU combo, but I'm open to other suggestions. I mainly play FPS and racing games like COD, BF6, Forza, and NFS. Any advice would be appreciated!

For around £700, you could get a solid upgrade like a Ryzen 7600 and a 9060XT, or even a 5060Ti if you're sticking with Nvidia. Just make sure to reuse your case, PSU, and storage to keep costs down!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not very familiar with AMD, since I've only had Intel and Nvidia gear. With those upgrades, how would the performance stack up compared to my current Intel/Nvidia setup? Just trying to wrap my head around the potential gains.
