What upgrades should I consider for 4K gaming?

I'm looking to enhance my gaming setup for 4K gaming. I currently have an AMD Ryzen 5 7600, a GPU that I think is an RTX 4070 Super with 16GB of VRAM (though I've heard it might actually be the 12GB version), and 32GB of RAM. My budget for any upgrades is around 1400 CAD. What should I be looking to upgrade?

If you're comfortable getting around 60fps, I'd go with the 5080. That should keep things smooth!

Your setup is decent for 4K, but if you feel the need for a boost, consider upgrading your GPU. The RTX 5070 Ti or the 5080 might be what you need. Just a heads up, the RTX 4070 Super you're referring to is actually the 12GB model. Might want to confirm that!

Isn't the 4070 Super comparable to some of those higher-end cards?

Upgrading to the 5070 Ti might not be enough. The 5080 would be a safer bet for sure.

Lol sorry, I mixed it up—it's actually the 12GB Super!

You might want to consider the 5070 Ti for 4K. Pair it with DLSS for high settings in AAA games, and you could maintain 60fps. Plus, frame generation can help boost those numbers to 120fps if you're okay with a lower base framerate!

If you're aiming for better 4K performance, the latest RTX 5080 would be a solid choice. Check it out if it's within your budget!

Honestly, if your GPU is already the 4070 Ti Super, you might not need an upgrade. If you're looking to push higher, then at least consider the 5070 Ti or 5080, but it's a tight game at that point.
