Hey everyone! I've recently upgraded my PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, which meant I also had to get a new motherboard and RAM. I've been really enjoying the boost in performance for gaming, but I've noticed that my PC case gets pretty hot to the touch. When I checked the temperatures using a diagnostic tool, it showed that I'm sitting at about 60-70°C during usage, and it even spikes up to 95°C when gaming. It's my first time using a cooler like the Phantom Spirit 120 Evo, so I'm a bit anxious about whether these temperatures are normal or if I should be worried. My old CPU was the Intel i5 8600k, so I'm not used to dealing with these temps. I reseated the cooler and checked the fans, but I'm curious if I need to take further action. Any advice? Thanks!

Yeah, 95°C is definitely too high for the 9800X3D, as that’s when it starts to throttle. Make sure your cooler is properly mounted and that you've applied thermal paste correctly. If it came with pre-applied paste, you might have missed removing the plastic cover, but it sounds like you've checked that already. Consider getting a better cooler if you're still having issues.
I've seen plenty of reviews say the Phantom Spirit 120 can handle the 9800X3D, so it's probably not the cooler itself. Have you tried increasing your case fan speeds? That might help cool things down!
