Hey everyone! I'm thinking about transitioning to Linux and I currently have a 4070 Super. I've heard that there have been some ongoing issues with NVIDIA graphics cards on Linux. Is this still a problem, or has it improved over time? I'd love any advice on making the switch, especially with my setup. Thanks!

You should definitely use the official NVIDIA drivers. It's much easier now than it used to be!

Honestly, it’s pretty smooth these days. If you go with a user-friendly distro like Linux Mint, it will handle the NVIDIA drivers for you through its package manager, making installation and updates a breeze. I’ve been using NVIDIA GPUs since I switched to Linux back in 2013-2014, and any problems I had were my own fault for not following the instructions closely enough.

That's awesome to hear! A lot of the old videos I watched recommended going for AMD GPUs instead, so it's nice to know NVIDIA support is good now.
