I'm looking to buy a PC from a seller on the marketplace and I want to know if it's worth the $2000 he's asking. The seller claims the build is in new condition with all original boxes and warranty. Here's the breakdown of the parts:

- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (AM5)
- Nvidia RTX 5080 Founders Edition
- Crucial Pro OC 64GB (4x16GB) DDR5 6000 MHz
- Samsung 990 Evo Plus 2TB (2x1TB) NVMe SSD
- ASUS TUF Gaming B650M Wi-Fi (Bluetooth)
- Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm cooler
- Lian Li O11 Mini V2 Flow Black
- 850W Gold Fully modular PSU

Since this is my first time buying a PC through Facebook Marketplace, I'm not sure if I should trust the deal. What should I look out for?

Price seems reasonable, but be sure to stress test the system for a couple of hours to check performance. If you're not buying through a credit card, be aware that chargebacks aren't an option if there's fraud. With Black Friday coming, you might find a similar new system for the same price. Verify each part listed is actually what's being sold, and personally, I’m not convinced about the motherboard. It might not handle the 6000MHz RAM reliably.

The price is close to new but not exactly. I'd suggest considering a brand new prebuilt or building one yourself if you're up for it. Also, keep in mind that if warranty applies, it might not cover you since you didn't buy the parts. Plus, with Black Friday coming up, there might be better deals around the corner!

He mentioned he'd help with the warranty. What would you say is a fair price for this build?

I ran the numbers on PCPartPicker, and the total for those parts new is about $2540. So, $2000 seems like a solid deal if everything checks out. Just make sure to test it before buying; if he refuses, walk away from the deal.

I’m getting mixed feedback here. New ones cost a lot, especially for GPUs. I’ll check the receipts and maybe run a couple of benchmarks.

The pricing looks fair as long as the seller is reputable. The GPU itself generally sells for around $1200. To give you an idea, I snagged a prebuilt with similar specs for $1800, and it felt like a steal! Here’s a link for comparison: https://www.microcenter.com/product/689586/powerspec-g722-gaming-pc

Awesome deal! Quick question: the seller initially listed it for $1850 with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage. Should I go for the current $2K build instead? What else should I check to ensure his credibility?

Four sticks of RAM usually don’t run at the max speed advertised. He's asking for new prices on a used system, and warranty might not apply to you. Proceed with caution and make sure you're protected when paying.

Exactly! I think using a secure payment method is the way to go. He mentioned running 32GB with 2 sticks before, so that's something to consider.
