Why Can’t My New Windows 11 PC Find Any Wi-Fi Networks?

I just got a new PC running Windows 11 and I'm having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi. I already have a laptop and a working router with a Wi-Fi network, and I rarely have issues with my internet. When I was setting up the new PC, I had to bypass the 'find driver' option by selecting 'I don't have internet,' which allowed me to access the main menu. However, now I can't find the option to activate Wi-Fi or even see any available networks. The only prompts I get are related to Ethernet connections, which I don't have and don't want to use. I've tried restarting both the computer and the router, but nothing changes. Is this a common issue? Could my choice during setup have affected my ability to connect?

If your PC is branded, there should be a drivers page on the manufacturer's website. You can download the Wi-Fi drivers from there using another device, transfer them via USB, and install them on your new PC. Some brands even have software that auto-installs necessary drivers after the initial setup, so check for that.

I only have my laptop as an option, and I'm not able to find driver files easily. But I'll check the manufacturer's site for possible solutions.

Based on what you mentioned, it could be that your Wi-Fi adapter is missing drivers or not installed at all. Since this is a new computer, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to clarify if a Wi-Fi adapter comes included, or if you need to purchase one separately. They can also help you with driver installation if that's the case.

I thought having a Wi-Fi adapter was standard these days. I'll contact them to find out more.

It sounds like your new PC might not have a Wi-Fi network adapter installed. Can you check the specs of your computer? Sometimes these high-end gaming setups come without one because users usually utilize wired connections for better performance. That's probably why you're not seeing any Wi-Fi options.

Yeah, you definitely want to double-check the specs. If it does have one, there might be missing drivers. Make sure to contact customer support for help.
