I'm curious if it's feasible to pirate games on Linux, just like you can on Windows with platforms like FitGirl. I have a dual boot setup and I'm wondering if it's any safer or better to do it on Linux. Any advice or experiences regarding this?

For the best experience, try using Lutris to run the games. You could also add them as non-Steam games and use Proton. I personally like to keep my libraries separate, though.

From what I hear, GOG and using 'steamrip' are good options for Linux. FitGirl can be a hassle. I recommend checking out GOG first, but keep in mind, not all games are available there.

Isn't 'steamrip' known to be spyware or something like that?

What kind of issues did you have? I typically download from FitGirl, run the setup with Wine, and everything has worked fine for me so far.

Absolutely! You can definitely pirate games on Linux. A community called linuxcracksupport can help with that.

You can install the game using FitGirl, just run the setup with Wine, and then add the installed game to Steam as a non-Steam game.

Is there any tutorial available for this setup?

Yes, you can use Steam to run some pirated games. Just enable Proton for non-Steam games in your settings and add the game to your library. It works for many titles, but not all of them.
