Hey everyone! I just upgraded to an RX 9070 XT and I'm trying to determine if the performance I'm experiencing is expected or if there's something I can tweak for better results. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, 32 GB DDR4 RAM at 3600 MHz, a 2 TB Kingston Fury SSD, an RX 9070 XT GPU with 16 GB VRAM, an 850 W PSU, and I'm using a 1440p monitor with Windows 11. I'm running the latest AMD drivers with the standard performance preset in Adrenalin. My FPS results in various games on Ultra settings (1440p) are: F1 25: ~210 FPS, Minecraft (with shaders): ~66 FPS, Trackmania: ~66 FPS, and Train Sim World 6: ~39 FPS. F1 25 plays smoothly, and Minecraft looks decent, but I'm concerned about the low FPS in some titles. I'd love to know if these performance numbers are typical for the RX 9070 XT at 1440p Ultra, any recommended configuration changes in Adrenalin or Windows for more stable FPS, and whether I should stick with the default HyperRX preset or try custom game profiles. I appreciate any feedback or optimization tips! Thanks!

Make sure to use tools like Open Hardware Monitor to check your temps and usage in real-time. It's important to see if any thermal throttling could be impacting your performance.
Honestly, don't expect massive performance leaps like years ago. While my RX 9060XT is pretty decent, it can feel underwhelming at times too. Just keep tweaking those settings and see what works best for your setup!
It sounds like your performance might be limited by your CPU since the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X can sometimes hold back the RX 9070 XT at higher settings. You might want to check your GPU utilization while gaming. If it's significantly less than 100%, the CPU might be the issue. Just keep an eye on that while you play.
My GPU tends to sit around 50% usage, while my CPU is usually at 80%. I'm starting to think there’s a bit of a bottleneck there.
Have you tried resetting the Adrenalin settings to default and fine-tuning the in-game graphics options? Features like FSR and frame generation can also help in stabilizing your FPS. Just experiment a bit!
You could be experiencing a CPU bottleneck, but it's not as severe as some people may suggest. With a CPU like the 5800X, it should still keep up well with the 9070 XT. I recommend adjusting your individual game graphics settings instead of relying solely on presets. It's amazing what a few tweaks in settings can do to improve performance across titles!
Thanks for the advice! I’ve started tweaking my settings a bit and am noticing slight improvements. My CPU usage is still around 70-80% while GPU is at 60%, so there's more work to do.

I appreciate that tip! I will definitely check my system temps. Thanks!
