Advice Needed for Building a Desktop for Light Gaming and Development

I'm transitioning from using laptops to a desktop and I'm excited! I work in web development and enjoy casual gaming with titles like Cities Skylines 2 and Life is Strange. I'm also dabbling in very light projects involving small LLMs. My budget is between $1000 and $1300, excluding peripherals. I'm aiming for a solid mid-range setup, ideally with an AMD GPU since I plan to use Fedora. I'm including a parts list for feedback, and if you have suggestions for a keyboard, mouse, or monitor, that would be fantastic! Thanks a bunch! Here's my parts list: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XdhfqH)

I like your parts list overall, but it seems a bit pricey given your budget. That CPU you picked is solid, but maybe look into a slightly cheaper motherboard. Also, the keyboard you're considering wasn't great when I tried it – trust me, a membrane keyboard might feel better than that! I've had success with other brands if you want some recommendations.

Make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck. Instead of the 32 GB of RAM, do you really need that much? You might be able to cut costs there and invest in a higher-quality GPU instead. And on a side note, your monitor choice is awesome but check for sales; you might find a better deal! Good luck with your build!

Hey! You might want to reconsider that motherboard; the B850 is probably overkill for your needs. It could save you some money to go with a more budget-friendly option. Also, just a heads up, the mouse you listed runs on AA batteries, which can make it a bit heavy for gaming. I’d recommend looking for a lighter one, maybe something with a rechargeable battery! Good luck with your build!
