After resetting my PC to factory settings, I'm facing an issue where it shows I'm connected but doesn't recognize the internet. I can browse and download without any issues though. I'm using an Ethernet connection and have tried several troubleshooting steps. Here's what I've done so far: updated network adapters (they're up-to-date), disabled and re-enabled the adapter, checked for damaged cables or ports, used the command prompt to flush DNS and renew the IP address, ran the Windows network troubleshooter (which reported everything was fine), and even experimented with using a different DNS server. Interestingly, the network and sharing center says there are no active networks.

I had a similar issue, and what worked for me was uninstalling the network adapter and then rebooting my PC. Windows reinstalled it automatically. Also, make sure your network is set to private; that might be playing a role here.
You might want to try resetting your network settings entirely. Also, it’s a good idea to delete your network card in Device Manager and reboot your PC afterwards to let it reinstall everything fresh.
Yes, I’ve already tried that.
Since you mentioned everything works fine in the browser, this sounds like a Windows quirk. It could be a bug that you can just ignore for now, as long as your internet is actually functioning.

It’s set to private, but I'm not sure how to change that. Any tips?
