Looking for Upgrade Suggestions on My Sub $1700 PC Build

I'm planning to upgrade from my 2020 mid-range mid-tower PC, which has a Ryzen 5 2700 and GTX 1600 Super, and I'm hoping to get something with a smaller footprint for my desk. I want it to last at least 6 years before I need a full new build. I've played around with PCPartPicker and put together a build that fits my budget of under $1700, but I'm mainly looking for advice on cooling options and any obvious issues I may have overlooked, especially since it's been a while since I built a PC and I haven't used liquid cooling before. Would really appreciate your input!

It looks like you could improve your build with a better motherboard, RAM, and GPU. I created a sample build that fits under your budget:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core for $359
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Aqua Elite V3 Liquid Cooler for about $45
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B850M EAGLE WIFI6E for $150
- **Memory**: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 for $144
- **Storage**: 2TB WD_BLACK SN7100 SSD for $139
- **Video Card**: ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 XT for $600
- **Case**: Thermaltake The Tower 300 MicroATX for $157
- **Power Supply**: SAMA GT 750W Gold PSU for $73

Total is about $1667.85. This setup would give you some serious performance boost!

I see why the GPU is considered better—more fans for better cooling and higher clock speeds. Quick question though: would those clock speeds make a difference for 1080p gaming? I'm not really focused on FPS since my connection can lag.
