I've redone my portfolio twice this year already, and I'm starting to think that's too frequent! Each time I see my site, I get this urge to make it better. I'm curious, what's your approach to building a portfolio that you won't feel the need to overhaul in just a few months?

I don't believe in having one since I prefer to communicate directly with clients. For freelancers, a portfolio can be handy since it showcases work visually, but it's not the end of the world if you don't have one.

I used to completely revamp my site every couple of months while figuring out my branding, but now that I love it, I just update with new projects when needed. Consistent branding really makes a difference!

Honestly, I think updating your portfolio depends on your situation. Some folks suggest doing it at least once a year. It helps keep things fresh without feeling like you're constantly starting from scratch.

I usually don’t redo mine too often, but I make sure to keep the design modern and up to date. It really helps to have inspiration before starting, so I always check out new trends.

For me, I hardly ever touch my portfolio after college since it was a graduation requirement. I think they focus more on resumes in many roles, especially if you're in development. A good GitHub profile might even be more relevant!
