Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a 50 series GPU?

I'm considering if it's worth holding out for Black Friday deals on a 50 series GPU, specifically the 5070 TI, which I've seen for under £700. With the Arc Raiders promotion ending soon, it seems like a good time to buy. Realistically, how likely is it that I could find a 5070 TI for under £650 during Black Friday?

If you can hold off a bit longer, you might want to wait for the 'Super' refresh models that are rumored to be announced at CES in early January. Despite that, predicting the pricing is tough—it’s really just a guess right now.

True, but the initial prices for those Super models are likely to be pretty high.

Yeah, but we might not even see those Super cards at reasonable prices until Q2. The timelines can be optimistic.

If you're in the UK, keep us updated if you find any great deals—especially if it's a considerable discount, like 20% or more!

Honestly, if you need a GPU now, it might be best to buy it rather than wait. Last Black Friday didn’t really have good deals on GPUs—most discounts were for SSDs, monitors, and other peripherals. Prices for memory could spike soon, so if you find a decent deal now, go for it!

Not really. This year, Black Friday falls later than usual, and stock levels will likely be low by then due to high demand for holiday purchases.

People ask this a lot, and the answer tends to be no: you’re unlikely to see discounts on GPUs during Black Friday. You might find some bundle deals instead, but not standalone GPUs.

Typically, GPUs don’t see much, if any, discounts during Black Friday. The sales are more common for accessories and smaller components than for graphics cards themselves.
