Troubleshooting Game Issues on My Windows 11 Laptop Before a Factory Reset

I have a Dell Latitude 5400 laptop running Windows 11 with an Intel Core i5 8th gen processor. Recently, two of my individually downloaded games stopped working. The first game won't let me log into its launcher, no matter what I do. I've already tried uninstalling and fully wiping it, updating my computer and drivers, running CMD scans, and restarting my WiFi and laptop multiple times. I also checked my computer for viruses and malware and found nothing.

Now, the second game is stuck on loading during login. I'm seriously considering a factory reset but I'm worried about losing my data and not being able to fix the underlying problem. Any advice on what steps I should take before going through with a factory reset?

I totally get why you're frustrated with your games acting up like that. Before jumping into a factory reset, why not try a few troubleshooting steps? First, check your Windows Firewall and make sure your game launchers are allowed through. Sometimes, an update might block them unexpectedly. Just head to Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection, and ensure they're allowed.

Also, consider doing a clean boot of your system. This will start Windows with minimal drivers and programs, which can help you figure out if something's interfering with your games. Just search for System Configuration, disable all services (after hiding Microsoft ones), and restart. If the games launch fine after that, a third-party app might be causing the issue. Good luck!

I tried those steps but unfortunately, nothing worked. I'm really at a loss here.
