I've been dealing with daily Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) on my desktop since October 27. I've tried uninstalling my graphics drivers using DDU and then reinstalling them, but the issue persists. I've checked all drivers and haven't installed anything new on my system or GPU since the problems started. Interestingly, the BSOD only happens when I'm not doing anything resource-intensive. I can play games for hours without a crash, but as soon as I start browsing the web or watching YouTube, I'm hit with a BSOD. I'm considering a full reinstallation of Windows, but that feels excessive. Any advice?

The errors you're seeing, like Video_TDR_Failure, usually indicate that your GPU isn't responding properly, which leads to Windows resetting the driver and causing a BSOD. It's possible your GPU is faulty, but I've noticed that Nvidia's drivers have been pretty shaky since January. If you're not running a 50 series card, try rolling back to what I believe is the last stable driver, which can be found online. For the 50 series cards, you might want to try version 577.00, as it seems a bit more stable, but results can vary. If crashes continue, you might need to consider an RMA for your GPU.
It sounds like you need to collect some dump files to help diagnose those BSODs. If you can access Windows normally or through Safe Mode, check for minidump files at C:WindowsMinidump. If you find any, zip them and upload them to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe. We typically want multiple dump files for a clearer picture. You could also set your Windows to create Small Memory Dumps so they don’t overwrite each other. This info will really help in figuring out what’s going wrong!

I'm dealing with the same GPU model and had no issues till now. Going to give those 577.0 drivers a shot. If they don’t work, I’ll be looking into sending it back to Gigabyte too. Money down the drain, right?
