I'm currently using 2 sticks of 8GB RAM with a CL16 and 2440MHz speed, and I'm looking to upgrade to 24GB total. I'm thinking about getting a single 16GB stick with a CL16 and 3200MHz speed. I know it will run in flex mode since I'll be removing one of the 8GB sticks, but I'm wondering if I'll lose FPS in games or if this setup will work well with my motherboard, which is an MSI Pro B660M-E DDR4.

Mixing RAM can be hit or miss. If all goes well, it'll run at the speed of the slowest RAM stick. Just keep an eye on performance after you upgrade too, just in case you see any drops.
Mixing RAM isn't usually recommended. It's better to go for a 2x16GB kit for better compatibility. If you do mix, it should still work, but expect all sticks to run at the slower speed of the 2400MHz RAM you have now.
It might work, but there's no guarantee on the speed. Usually, it'll default to the speed of the slower stick. Honestly, 16GB is usually fine for most games, but I understand wanting more RAM regardless of speed. It could help with multitasking.

Yeah, I get wanting more RAM. Just want to make sure it won't hurt my gaming performance.
