What’s the Best Torque Screwdriver for GPU Repasting?

I'm planning to repaste my ASRock RX 7900 XTX Taichi using Honeywell PTM7950 and need a torque screwdriver that can accurately reach about 2.5 kgf·cm (which is approximately 0.245 N·m or 2.17 in-lb) for the cooler screws. I really want to avoid uneven pressure on the GPU die, so I'm on the lookout for a reliable driver that fits this torque range. I've looked into a few options: - **PB Swiss Tools PB 8316 A (10-50 cN·m / 0.1-0.5 N·m)** - high quality, suitable torque range. - **Tohnichi 3RTD (0.4-3 kgf·cm)** - very precise and made in Japan, but quite rare. - **BESTOOL KANON 3LTDK-H (0.2-3 kgf·cm)** - seems perfect on paper, but I'd love to hear anyone's experience with it regarding build quality and the clutch feel. - **Mountz FG-25z (~0.25 N·m preset)** - industrial grade but pricey. - **Capri Tools Ultra Precision (1.5-6 in-lb)** - more affordable, but I'm concerned about its low-end calibration accuracy. My plan is to mount the cooler evenly to around 2.5 kgf·cm during the PTM7950 installation, heat the GPU once to let the paste melt, and then recheck the torque after the first heat cycle. If anyone has experience with these precision torque tools or GPU cooler re-mounts, which would you recommend for consistent low-range accuracy? Also, any insights into the BESTOOL KANON 3LTDK-H would be greatly appreciated!

Torque isn’t everything—just make sure your screws are snug when you put everything back together! That’s usually enough for most builds.

Honestly, all this effort might not even be worth it! From my experience with GPU teardowns, I’ve never really felt the need to torque screws to such precision for noticeable results.

I hear you, but for the RX 7900 XTX Taichi, I think OP is right to be cautious. I mean with a core delta of 51 °C, it might be crucial to ensure an even mounting pressure, especially since ASRock recommended 2.5 kgf·cm for it.
