Hey everyone! My games and shaders are taking longer to load than I'd like, and my friends with better setups are always waiting on me. I'm considering building a new PC, but with my current financial situation, that's a bit tough. I'm looking for advice on which components to upgrade first. Should I focus on upgrading my RAM to dual-channel, or should I switch to an NVMe SSD? Here are my specs for reference:
* GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (8GB GDDR6)
* CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
* Motherboard: TUF Gaming X570-PRO (WI-FI)
* RAM Slot #1: 2400 CL15 4GB
* RAM Slot #2: 2400 CL15 8GB
* RAM Slot #3: 2400 CL15 4GB
* SSD #1: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (OS)
* SSD #2: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB (Games)
Thanks for your help!

To really speed up game loading times, go for an NVMe drive. I recommend getting a Gen 4, 2TB NVMe and using it for both your OS and games. It’ll make a big difference!
Your RAM situation looks a bit concerning. Do you have a budget for upgrades? Honestly, switching to an NVMe SSD would likely improve your load times the most. I’d also consider getting an additional 8GB stick for dual-channel RAM if you can find some used modules at a good price.
