I have two Windows computers, let's call them Computer A and Computer B. Computer A recently got infected with a trojan virus because my brother clicked on a Windows captcha scam. They are both connected to the same MSI G273CQ monitor via HDMI. I'm worried if the virus could spread from Computer A to the monitor and then to Computer B. I'm not very tech-savvy and I keep a lot of sensitive information on Computer B, so I'd prefer to avoid doing a full Windows reset if possible. Can a trojan move from one computer to a monitor and then infect another computer?

While it's practically impossible for a trojan to jump straight from your monitor to another computer, there's a potential vulnerability if both are on the same network. Viruses can scan for other devices on the same network, so make sure your computers are secured!
Generally speaking, it's highly unlikely for malware to spread through a monitor. HDMI is essentially a data cable, but there haven't been any credible reports of malware so far transferring through one. So, you should be safe!

Got it, I'll focus more on securing my network. Thanks!
